New Control Panel Uses Audio Intrusion Verification for Affordable False Alarm Reduction

Stanley Convergent Security Solutions (Stanley CSS) introduced the new Sonitrol FlexiBase control panel, the latest member to join the Sonitrol family of audio-impact products compatible with the new SONIP monitoring platform. The FlexiBase was developed at a lower cost of entry to compliment the recently released Sonitrol IP-enabled iBase control panel.

The FlexiBase control panel offers audio-impact activated intrusion technology. According to the company, the Sonitrol audio verification technology has been recognized by the law enforcement community for assisting in getting criminals off the streets. The keypad further decreases false alarms by providing the ability to communicate via English or Spanish as requested by the customer.  Users can turn off their system with a programmable keyless access card or fob.

The expansion modules that provide keyless door entry, wireless technology and cellular back-up communication (available in the fourth quarter) are compatible on both the FlexiBase and iBase IP-enabled control panels. This provides an easier upgrade path for the customer should their organization be required to move towards a network or digital communication path in the future.

“We are pleased to be able to offer a security panel with the robust features many of our customers are looking for at an affordable investment. The development of this product line truly encompasses what we gathered from our market research. We find it to be an integrated solution that truly meets the needs of our customers today and into the future,” said Bruce Ginnever, vice president, product management, Stanley CSS.
