Stanley Security Solutions made headlines last month when it took the No. 1 spot on SDM’s 11th annual Top Systems Integrators Report with $810 million in 2005 revenue – a 25 percent increase over 2004. This Indianapolis-based firm, a business division of The Stanley Works, took the spot from previously ranked No. 1, Siemens Building Technologies.
And in the works, so to speak, is a recent announcement of the formation of Stanley Security Products, a “new business unit designed to drive growth, better serving the needs of existing and new customers through dealer and reseller distribution channels.â€
The firm said that “Stanley Security Products Group [is] chartered to lead Stanley Security Solutions’ reseller strategy focused on distributing its products and services through a network of Stanley authorized dealers and resellers.â€
While Stanley had been considered a fairly self-contained entity with manufacturing, engineering/design, installation, and service all under one roof, this announcement affirms a broader approach to Stanley’s way-to-market.
