Three North American retail chains have adopted Protect Security Systems of America’s Smoke Cannon. Among the first major retailers in the Western Hemisphere to implement Protect within their security systems will be CVS Corp., Rainbow Apparel Co. - USA Inc. and Luxottica Group.

CVS Corp. has 5,400 pharmacies in 35 states. New York-based Rainbow Apparel Co. operates 1,000 junior, plus-size and children’s fashion stores, and Luxottica Group is a North American optical retailer with 5,500 locations.

“One of our goals is to prevent thefts from happening in the first place,” said David St. Angelo, loss prevention physical security manager for CVS.
