STI’s smoke detector damage stopper helps prevent accidental or intentional vandalism to smoke detectors. This protective cover is a simple, low-cost solution for areas where severe vandalism and physical abuse of smoke detectors is causing false alarms or high maintenance costs. Its durable polycarbonate design allows it to take tough knocks in stride, while protecting the smoke detector. Expertly designed, the cover has multiple slots permitting smoke to safely reach the detector it is protecting, and allows the detector to function correctly. It is easy to install and may be removed quickly for servicing of the detector. Two UL Listed models are available to fit virtually all smoke detectors: flush mounted (STI-8100) and surface mounted (STI-8130) with spacer to accommodate exposed conduit. Spacer and cover come standard in clear and are also offered in black or white. Both models carry a three year guarantee against breakage in normal use.
