CAT Teledyne FlirTeledyne FLIR has released FLIR Mobile SDK, a software development kit for the Cat S62 Pro rugged smartphone, which features an embedded Teledyne FLIR Lepton sensor. The Android-based app gives Cat S62 owners the power to visualize heat energy, which provides the ability to see through obscurants and even in total darkness and measure surface temperature. This is helpful for identifying faulty circuitry, identifying heat sources, or spotting animals or people in the dark. Download the SDK online.


NFPA Updates NFPA LiNK With 2022 Standards

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) has added the 2022 NFPA updates to NFPA LiNK, a subscription-based application that includes NFPA codes and standards, commentary from security professionals and supporting content. The tool allows installers and integrators to navigate and understand code requirements based on real-life situations. Notes made in the past on NFPA LiNK have been carried over to the code updates. Hikvision Releases New & Improved Online Cybersecurity Center

Hikvision announced it has launched its Cybersecurity Center to enable dealers, end users, and partners to access the Hikvision Network Cyber-Protect resources, providing fast and convenient access to cybersecurity information, tools and references. This center is a free and open resource available for anyone who wants to address cybersecurity. It does not require individuals’ login to access Hikvision resources to expand their digital and surveillance system cybersecurity knowledge. Educational tools include access to a six-part cybersecurity course led by Hikvision’s cybersecurity experts, which covers everything from product cybersecurity to vulnerabilities, and security in practice for physical security practitioners.
