Proactive Data Storage and Monitoring announced a direct integration with Genetec surveillance systems. This integration will allow for end users to retrieve archived video from a proactive server or from the cloud using the Genetec VMS. It allows Genetec clients to store their video affordably on-prem or in the cloud without needing to learn a third party software.
Proactive DSM has a dynamic array of solutions that are designed to meet the needs of all end users. All lines use the same technology and remote management software, however each line can be customized and used for any given need. Here's how each of the solutions work:
Proactive Cloud (Cloud Storage Only)
No device onsite. The video stream goes straight to the cloud for optimization and storage. Fully scalable cloud archiving system for any size system and client.
Proactive Bridge (Cloud Storage and Optional External Local Storage)
A Proactive bridge is installed at the client location, where the system resides. Connects to the local area network. All streams will go to the bridge, video is then optimized and stored to a local NAS (supplied and maintained by the integrator or end-user) or sent to Proactive cloud storage, using a minimal amount of bandwidth.
Proactive Server (Local Storage with Additional Cloud Optional)
A Proactive storage server Is put at the client location. It connects to the local area network. All streams will go to the server, the video is then optimized and stored locally. If the client opts into additional cloud storage, it is sent to the cloud in real-time using a minimal amount of bandwidth. Designed for 24+ cameras and/or clients looking for longer-term storage (such as 12,24, 36+ months).
