The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC), Frisco, Texas, has scheduled demonstrations for alarm company owners and managers at 15 ADI Expos throughout the United States this year, providing information on programs designed to support cooperative efforts with law enforcement and the community related to effective alarm management.

“Tom Polson, president of ADI, is giving us a great opportunity to inform alarm companies about the resources available to alarm users, police executives, and company managers,” said Stan Martin, executive director of SIAC. “Security alarms play a critical role in public safety, and they work most effectively when everybody involved utilizes the best alarm management practices available.”

Protocols include equipment standards, the ECV (Enhanced Call Verification) protocol that confirm the need for police dispatch via alarm owner cell phone, and expanded training and communication resources for alarm users and local police.

ADI, a North American distributor of security equipment, sponsors expos in the U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico to introduce new technology and provide educational resources for dealers.
