The Axis 225FD Fixed Dome Network Camera offers progressive scan, Power over Ethernet (PoE) and an integrated heater. It has a vandal-resistant, outdoor-proof design suitable for prisons, campuses, parking garages, railway stations and other environments where impact resistance and weatherproofing are required. The camera uses simultaneous motion JPEG and MPEG-4 video compression to optimize both video quality and bandwidth consumption. The PoE reduces installation cost and consolidates the power source. The day and night camera uses an automatically removable infrared filter that enables high-quality images under all light conditions, including color video in high and low light and black-and-white video in dark conditions. It uses a progressive scan CCD image sensor that enables moving images to be presented without distortion or blur up to 30 fps in VGA resolution.
