Yeargin

Dallmeier Electronic, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., appoints Tom Yeargin to director of sales, North America. Yeargin will be responsible for identifying strategic business partners, securing OEM relationships, and creating awareness with A&E/consulting firms and end users.

Yeargin joins Dallmeier as part of its strategy for the Americas. Al-ready well-established and successful in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa, Dall-meier recently set up its corporate headquarters in Fort Lauderdale, with a branch office in Colorado that will specifically focus on the company’s casino and gaming customers.

Flores

John Van Schepen was appointed president ofIntercon Security Limited, Toronto. Van Schepen had previously held the position of senior vice president, finance and administration of Intercon and has been a senior executive of Intercon for the past four years. He holds bachelor of commerce and MBA degrees from McMaster University and is also a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Koorsen Fire & Security, Indianapolis, andIntegral Technologies, Indianapolis, teamed to provide a digital recording solution for Alternatives Inc. Alternatives Inc. of Anderson, Ind., is a residential facility serving women and their dependent children who are victims of family violence or homelessness. The agency offers a comprehensive shelter program that goes beyond a “roof over the head” and seeks to assist families in moving from dependency to self-sufficiency.

Alternatives moved into a newly constructed facility in November 2005. Security, access control and video surveillance systems were designed and installed by Koorsen Fire & Security. When it was determined that budgets would not allow for the use of digital recording, Skip Sampson, Koorsen vice president, called Integral and made company officials aware of the situation. Integral Technologies donated a 16-channel, 180GB DVXe digital recorder for the facility and Koorsen Fire & Security completed the installation.

Adams Rite Manufacturing Co., Pomona, Calif., announces that Scott Sabatini, architectural specification manager, is one of the first in the U.S. and Canada to be certified as an electrical hardware consultant (EHC), which also qualified him for the highest level of certification as an architectural openings consultant (AOC). At Adams Rite, Sabatini is responsible for the coordination and development of architectural markets in the U.S. and Canada, as well as providing training and consulting to hundreds of architects, specification writers, design professionals and code officials.

Russound, Newmarket, N.H., announced two strategic additions to its sales department. Michael Gatto joined the company as the eastern regional sales manager to complete the national sales team. Matt Curtin was promoted to the newly created position of customer support supervisor. Curtin will lead account managers, as well as the technical and customer support departments.

Gatto comes to Russound with more than 20 years sales experience in the consumer electronics industry. Curtin started at Russound in the technical support department and then moved to training education and certification as a TEC specialist. He brings more than 10 years of sales and management experience in the electronics industry.

Salter

Hisayuki Okuoka, president ofTOA Electronics Inc., South San Francisco, Calif., announced that Alex Salter was appointed western regional sales manager for the company’s security products division.

Salter has considerable experience with electronic security systems, having sold complex security systems at several companies. A Gulf War veteran as a member of the United States Marines, he has a strong technical background that will enable him to quickly contribute to the success of TOA’s organization.

Mogannam

Linda Mogannam was recently promoted to marketing communications manager for TOA Electronics Inc. A TOA employee for eight years, Mogannam began her career as trade show coordinator, steadily increasing her responsibilities within the marketing department. Mogannam is responsible for the company’s overall marketing communications efforts including direct communications, public relations, advertising, literature, trade shows and events.

Panasonic Security Systems, Secaucus, N.J., a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company, announced the appointment of The Atkins Group, Pelham, N.H., as manufacturer’s representative for the New England region. Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America’s Security Products Division, Irvine, Calif., signed an agreement with SYNNEX Corp. to distribute its complete line of digital security recording solutions to resellers throughout the United States. Under this agreement, Mitsubishi’s full line of high-performance digital video recording solutions is now available to security dealers and systems integrators through SYNNEX, a global IT supply chain services company. SYNNEX will service and support its resellers through its Technology Solutions Division.

Leschhorn

Infinova, a manufacturer of CCTV surveillance and fiber optic communications equipment, appointed Carlos Leschhorn as sales manager for Latin America. Prior to Infinova, Leschhorn successfully initiated and developed new sales opportunities in territories such as Chile and Bolivia, and established sales offices in those countries. As regional senior sales manager for Sony, Leschhorn increased distributor participation and facilitated sales growth through distributor relationships.
