ADT Security Services, Boca Raton, Fla., was one of the select companies to receive top honors at the Sears Holdings’ 2005 Partners in Progress awards. ADT, a unit of Tyco Fire & Security, received the awards for Supplier of the Year and Quality Supplier of the Year in the Non Merchandise Loss Prevention category.

The Partners in Progress award is presented annually to a select group of supplier companies that provide Sears Holdings, Hoffman Estates, Ill., with quality products and services, from apparel, appliances and tools to marketing, facilities design and technology. Less than one percent of Sears Holdings’ more than 40,000 suppliers earn the coveted award each year.

Bosch Security Systems, Fairport, N.Y., announced that Jack McNamara, senior fire product manager, has been named chairman of the National Electrical Manufacturing Association (NEMA) signaling, protection and communication product group. He has also joined the board of directors of the Automatic Fire Alarm Association (AFAA).

In addition to NEMA and AFAA, he is also a member of the NFPA Technical and Technical Correlating Committees, and Underwriters Laboratories’ various standard technical panels.

Infinovaappointed Jim Valenza as sales engineer for Arizona and New Mexico. Infinova also appointed Forrest Boyd as sales engineer for the south central U.S. region.

Vicon Industries Inc., Hauppauge, N.Y., appoints Marjorie Gurwin as Vicon’s director of marketing. Gurwin will oversee all of Vicon’s domestic marketing programs and lend some support to international initiatives.

TOA Electronics Inc., South San Francisco, Calif., manufacturer of commercial audio and security products, has appointed Nightingale Rep Associates to represent their growing line of security products in the Rocky Mountain area. Nightingale Rep Associates will be covering the sales territory of Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Utah and Wyoming.
