Panasonic Security Systems, Secaucus, N.J., hired Michael Maddox and Gerald Buck as systems sales engineers. Maddox will be responsible for the development and management of the Panasonic Solution Developer Network, and for supporting security consultants and Panasonic partners and customers in the Northwest.

Buck will focus on the education market in the western region. He will be responsible for marketing Panasonic’s range of security products to the education community.

In other company news, Panasonic sent its winning dealers to Japan as part of completing Panasonic’s “Reach for the Peak” promotion.

The promotion recognized dealers who showed significant increases in performance over the previous year. Panasonic awarded the trip to Tri-Ed, Woodbury, N.Y.; Anixter, Glenview, Ill.; and Northern Video, Rocklin, Calif.

Alarm Lock Systems Inc., Amityville, N.Y., a manufacturer of electronic and mechanical access and egress control products, hired Mickey Wallis as western regional sales manager. PasWord Protection Services Inc., Hamilton, Ontario, a full-service proprietary alarm company acquiredArrow Securities, Hamilton, Ontario. The acquisition will bring an additional 300 accounts to the company’s existing customer base of 6,000.

PasWord offers acquired alarm companies the option of remaining active in the alarm industry by becoming a PasWord independent dealer. The dealers are responsible for the sales, installation and servicing of the alarm systems, while PasWord provides all back-office services.

Ritter
Patrick Ritter was promoted to controller ofADS Security, Nashville, Tenn. Ritter, who previously was a senior staff accountant at the company, joined ADS Security in August 2005. His responsibilities include all accounting functions at the company and its 13 offices, serving more than 59,000 commercial, institutional and residential clients.
