Electronix Systems Central Station Alarms, New York, celebrated its 30th anniversary. Established in 1978 by Fred Leonardo, president and CEO, Electronix has become a premier installation and central station company. Its roots go back to the early radio monitoring days when Leonardo, a leading authority on long-range radio telemetry, had one of the largest UHF/VHF radio networks in the New York metropolitan area. The network served as a backup to alarm digital telephone transmission services, as cutting a phone line was then the easiest way to thwart remote reporting.

Electronix Systems has been an active participant in industry affairs since 1986.

As a founding father of both the New York Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and The Long Island Alarm Association, Leonardo has served the industry’s development over the years with intense involvement in industry affairs and causes.

Electronix Systems ranks as No. 60 on the SDM 100, with a reported $330,000 of RMR on Dec. 31, 2007.
