Thanks to its revenue growth of 423 percent from 2004 to 2008, Genetec was recently ranked among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years. Placing 37th on the list, it is the fourth consecutive year that Genetec was ranked in the Fast 50.

“Canadian technology companies have demonstrated some very impressive growth numbers over the past year, amid the challenges of a global recession,” said John Ruffolo, national leader, technology, media & telecommunications industry group, Deloitte. “Genetec is an example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position them for further growth and success as the economic recovery takes hold.”

Alain Coté, executive vice president for Saint-Laurent, Quebec-based Genetec, credited the company’s continued focus on customer needs, hard work and the creativity of its work force for its success over the past five years. “We are very proud to have made the Fast 50 list for the fourth consecutive year, showing that we have found a way to keep our growth at a sustainable pace,” Coté said.
