Protection One, Lawrence, Kan., appointed Don Young as chief information officer and Dan Bresingham as chief financial officer.

As CIO, Young will be responsible for building systems to enhance the customer experience, overseeing all monitoring operations and spearheading the continued development of Protection One's electronic security offerings.

Protection One's president and CEO, Tim Whall, said, "I am excited to be working alongside Don again. With over two decades of experience and a comprehensive background in information technology specific to our industry, Don will be instrumental as we elevate Protection One's growth and offer advanced services to all customers."

Young has more than 22 years of experience in IT and call center management and has developed numerous systems to improve operational efficiencies within the security monitoring industry. He began his career as a computer programmer in the Air Force before joining the private sector.

As CFO, Bresingham will lead finances and administrative functions across all Protection One business platforms, including residential, commercial, national accounts, multifamily and wholesale, with a strong focus on unyielding support of the organization's expanding customer service and sales initiatives.

He brings more than 16 years of financial and accounting experience to this role and has a proven track record of building high-quality financial and accounting teams, systems, business processes, and controls, according to a Protection One press release. Bresingham began his career as a public accountant. He has since held positions at several high-profile security companies.

In making the announcement, Whall said, "Dan brings industry experience and important leadership skills that will drive the planning and execution of our financial strategies. Having worked with Dan in the past, I know his contributions will play a significant role at Protection One. I am thrilled to have Dan as part of the executive management team."
