Signal Strength Indicator added to Wireless Receiver
Home Automation, Inc. (HAI), New Orleans, has added RSSI capability to its 64-zone wireless receiver (HAI Part number 45A00-1). The receiver is used in domestic and international installations to monitor up to 64 unique wireless security transmitters. That information is then reported to an HAI Omni or Lumina home automation controller. The RSSI indicates the signal strength of the transmitter as good, fair or poor. The information is stored by the HAI controller and can be viewed anytime from an HAI console, touch screen or via HAI’s programming PC access software. This information is important to an installer during initial installation to ensure optimum placement and performance of the transmitters. The RSSI enhancement is currently available in all shipping HAI 64-zone wireless receivers without additional cost.HAI
