Zensys Inc., Fremont Calif., has received the 2006 Frost & Sullivan award for technology innovation for development of Z-Wave, an interoperable, RF-based, wireless mesh networking technology designed for controlling devices in the home.

This interoperable, short-range wireless mesh network communications technology enables wireless control of a wide array of home devices including lighting, appliances, HVAC, entertainment, healthcare, access and security systems and more.

Z-Wave technology has a capacity of up to 232 devices and does not require line of sight to deliver its signal. It is suited for large residences covering more than 10,000 sq. ft.

Zensys is continuing to develop products to address emerging consumer needs such as energy conservation, remote home management, safety and security, digital healthcare and home entertainment, apart from enhancing the lifestyle by adding comfort and convenience.
