Home Automation Inc.’s (HAI) Omnistat2 with ZigBee Wireless and IHD Control was recently named winner of the Consumer Electronics Association’s (CEA) Product of the Year Platinum Award in the Green Product category. Omnistat2 acts as a thermostat and an In Home Display at the same time. Omnistat2 thermostats use advanced digital technology to learn the heating/cooling patterns of a home to control the equipment for maximum efficiency and comfort. Omnistat2 thermostats have a proximity/motion detector so that its screen lights up when it is approached and has more than 100 customizable backlight colors. The In Home Display (IHD) allows utility customers to track their energy usage in chart or graph form based upon kwH used. Screens are customizable to provide any type of energy awareness information that a customer may require, including carbon footprint data, total energy consumption, and comparative analysis with typical energy use. The Zigbee-certified product communicates with smart meters and controls Load Control Modules.
