Electric strike

Rutherford Controls Int’l Corp. (RCI) launched the F2164 fire-rated electric strike for locks with offset or centerline latch entry. The F2 fire-rated electric strike combines strength (1,500 lb. holding force), endurance (1.5 million cycles) and convenience (everything needed is in the box). The Cool Keeper solenoid design means the strike doesn’t heat up. The F2’s patent-pending Saw-tooth Adjustment Locator design allows the installer to slide the deadbolt keeper and deadlatch ramp vertically to choose the precise position for the lock. There is no need to determine which lock is being used or order special faceplates. It even accommodates a 1-in. deadbolt for night-latch function. The patent-pending Sliding Shim design moves vertically on the keeper to align with any latch location, allowing up to 1/8-in. horizontal adjust¬ment on warped or misaligned doors. Also included is a faceplate for centerline latch entry, a trim plate for messy frame cuts, a hands-free adhesive template, and all the drivers needed to install the strike. Other standard features include field-selectable voltage (12 or 24 VAC/DC), low current draw (0.19 Amp at 24 VDC), plug-in wire connectors, and anti-tamper pry-guard.
