Disaster Center in Michigan on Standby to Help Through Wildfire Season
Wildfires recently blazed through Colorado and several other Western states. And according to the latest National Interagency Fire Center Predictive Services report, significant fire potential will remain high through July and extend through October throughout the Western United States. In late June, thousands of people were forced from their homes and businesses, being evacuated throughout the Colorado Springs, Colo., area. DICE Corporation announced that during that time the company and its Disaster Recovery team stood ready to take on any center that required its help, including its growing healthcare monitoring businesses. The DR team is on “standby” to help in Colorado, DICE said.
Colorado Springs sits in one of the United States' most disaster prone areas, and is susceptible to large scale wildfires, earthquakes, flash floods, blizzards, traumatic hail storms, catastrophic ice storms, severe lightning strikes, and crippling thunderstorms and tornados, DICE noted. The company added that the DICE Disaster Center sits in Bay City, Mich., which resides in an area of the United States not prone to natural disasters.
