VCR Inc. released its 1M_WDR series of megapixel wide dynamic range cameras featuring extra-sensitive CMOS sensors that can capture clear pictures under various lighting conditions. A special night mode allows viewing scenes at night in full color at 1280 x 800 pixels without IR illuminations. About the size of a dollar coin and 15 mm in height, the 1M_WDR will fit in tight spots that ordinary cameras cannot. Consuming about 1 W of power, it generates little heat and uses no moving parts. PoE connection to the standalone MV2A Server allows images to be sent to VGA monitors for display, and to optional attached hard drives for recording or over the IP network for file sharing and display on remote devices such as iPhone/iPad and Androids.
