The 34th Security Industry Association (SIA) New Product Showcase (NPS) features 87 products submitted by 75 companies in 27 product categories, all hoping to take home the coveted Best New Product or Judges’ Choice Award for their submission.

At 3 p.m. today, they’ll find out if that comes to fruition when SIA announces the winning entries in each category along with the Best New Product and Judges’ Choice Awards. The judges also can, at their discretion, present an Honorable Mention Award to any non-winning product or service they feel is deserving of recognition.

In keeping with SIA’s commitment to ensure that the NPS Awards are an accurate reflection of the ever-changing industry, SIA has added a new category for emergency communication systems this year. The 87 products entered in this year’s NPS will compete for awards in the following 27 categories:

“Companies entered in SIA’s New Product Showcase at ISC West represent the leading-edge security solutions that are shaping the industry,” says SIA CEO Don Erickson. “These new solutions are the drivers that are moving the security industry forward.”

To provide even more recognition for NPS winners, SIA is once again hosting its Winners’ Forum, which will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Rooms 301 and 302. At last year’s event, Best New Product winner MorphoTrak, which won for its MorphoAccess VP, and Judges’ Choice winner TKH Security Solutions, which won for its Siqura BC620WDR, provided helpful insight into how their cutting-edge innovations were transforming the security industry. Attendees also had a chance to get additional feedback during a Q&A session. This year’s event will follow the same format as last year’s. The Winners’ Forum is open to all ISC West attendees and there is no cost to attend.
