NVRs Add Several Features

Honeywell added enhancements to its MAXPRO network video recorders.

Honeywell added enhancements to its MAXPRO network video recorders (NVRs). The new features that are standard with the MAXPRO NVR 2.5 include support for cameras with ONVIF’s Profile S protocol and 360-deg. cameras, virtualization capabilities, and smart video motion detection (VMD). Incorporating support for cameras with ONVIF Profile S protocol allows organizations to customize surveillance systems when integrating a MAXPRO NVR with ONVIF-compliant IP network cameras. Smart video motion detection uses statistical modeling to maintain high-detection sensitivity. The technology filters out background noise, including shadows and moving vegetation.
