THERMAL CAMERA REDUCES FALSE ALARMS

August 2, 2015

The FLIR TCX Thermal Bullet features thermal technology for intrusion detection and visual awareness in daytime or nighttime conditions. Powered by FLIR’s TAU thermal camera core, the camera combines 24/7 high-contrast thermal video and high-performance built-in video motion detection with strong integration flexibility. It delivers two resolution options: 480 x 360 resolution with a 90-deg. lens, and 320 x 240 resolution with a 50-deg. lens and user-selectable 16:9 or 4:3 aspect ratios. The camera provides the advantage to see clearly in complete darkness without any illumination, in bright sunlight, and through smoke, dust, or even light fog. It is compatible with ONVIF Profile S IP, MPX (HDCVI), and analog systems, and it is designed to easily integrate into any environment, indoors and out — even in temperatures as cold as -40 deg. C. Featuring both intrusion detection and accurate video alarm verification in one device, the camera also supports lighting control, people counting, retail traffic flow and queue management, and enables a whole range of other applications.
