The Super Scanner V hand-held metal detector, originally designed for use at the 1984 Olympic Games, features both audible and silent vibrating alarm options and extended battery life. It has a rugged, high-impact ABS case with a reinforced coil compartment and the momentary push button helps to temporarily eliminate detection of nearby ambient metal. Three-color, LED indicator lights in green, amber and red allow the user to determine whether the scanner is on, has a low battery or is in alarm mode.

With digital microprocessor technology, the need for periodic sensitivity adjustments is eliminated and this device has an MSRP of $199.95.
