Smartphones As Virtual Access Card
See At ISC East Booth 518

Nedap Identification Systems launched a new platform, which enables its partners to use smartphones as containers of virtual access cards. MACE is a platform consisting of readers, apps and a cloud-based server that enable the use of smartphones to identify people. MACE is an acronym for Mobile Access Control Entities. MACE supports Bluetooth, NFC and QR-codes to identify people using virtual credentials, which are stored in a MACE app. This app will be available for both iPhone and Android. QR-codes are used as an alternative in situations where it is undesirable or impossible to use wireless communication technologies. MACE can be used in combination with any access control system or any other system that requires the swift identification of people, such as parking management systems or registration systems.
