Companies You Should Know: Adept Audio
You may not have heard of Adept Audio yet, but the people behind it, the products they are rolling out and the proprietary programs they created for the security industry feel like a breath of fresh air.
Adept is a new brand from Origin Acoustics offering architectural and indoor/outdoor speakers purpose-built for the residential and commercial security market.
“Security pros who install sound systems are particular about the brands they use,” said Keith Marshall, head of Adept. “They prefer using speakers that deliver unbeatable sonic performance. Given the increased demand for higher performing speakers that can support high resolution streaming audio and the latest hi-res home theater systems, we wanted to bring out a superior loudspeaker brand for the security market.”
Adept is focused on sonic performance that rivals near-luxury brands yet offers security dealers ease of installation. The company has succeeded in producing products with quite a few high-style industrial design cues; and, with its build quality, Adept offers a lifetime warranty on its architectural speakers.
At its launch in March, Adept will be available at select security distributors throughout North America.
“Security dealers who move over to Adept will not only be supported by our distributors, but by our security-centric rep firms,” Marshall said. “Dealers want to be able to make a call and know they can get immediate access to help take care of their needs. We already know that our distributors, along with our rapid-response sales rep firms, really know how to support our dealers.”
At the outset, Adept will be introducing a proprietary Value-Added-Reseller (VAR) Program to help supporting dealers market their security firms. In addition, Adept will not be allowing any retail sales.
In March 2020, Adept Audio ships its line of architectural and indoor/outdoor cabinet loudspeakers plus a line of dual-drive digital subwoofers. At the CEDIA Show in September, Adept will introduce its 2021 line with deliveries beginning in Q3 2020.
