Guardian Alarm has announced Brent Uhl as its new chief executive officer.

With more than 27 years of industry experience, Uhl most recently served as chief operating officer of CPI Security of Charlotte, N.C. Prior to CPI, Uhl spent over 20 years between Brinks, Incorporated and ADT.

"In Brent Uhl we found an industry veteran with incredibly relevant experience and a consistent track record of success,” Guardian Alarm's Board of Directors said. “We have always admired CPI for its industry-leading performance, reputation for outstanding customer service and track record for innovation. Guardian offers the same exciting opportunities for growth as CPI did when Brent arrived there seven years ago. We are confident that Brent will drive the same kind of fantastic growth that helped push CPI well up in the SDM 100 rankings. We are excited to bring in Brent and have such a well-respected industry leader take over at Guardian. Brent's record of achievement in the industry gives us a sense of confidence in knowing that he will bring new ideas to drive continued success at Guardian."

Uhl added, "I am thrilled to be the new CEO of Guardian Alarm. As a respected super-regional, Guardian has always been viewed as a strong competitor with a well-run business in its geographies. My goal will be to build upon the solid foundation created by the Guardian team over the last 90 years and help position Guardian to achieve continued growth and success. Guardian has a great employee base that is committed to its customers and the company, so I am excited to be working with them.”
