With the help of Vector Security Inc., the provider of security and automation solutions for homes and businesses across North America, Bradley County, Tenn. became the 50th public safety answering point (PSAP) in the nation to go live with Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP).
ADS Security, a regional electronic security company based in Nashville, Tenn., announced the implementation of the Automated Secure Alarm Protocol (ASAP) to Public Service Answering Point (PSAP) alarm response program in their monitoring center.
Guardian Protection Services of Warrendale, Pa. recently achieved the successful implementation of ASAP-to-PSAP processing protocol for the communication of alarm information to the City of Richmond, Virginia. The protocol went live after successful data transmissions between Guardian’s U.L. certified CSAA Five Diamond monitoring center and the City of Richmond’s 9-1-1 center.
The ASAP to PSAP program has cleared the hurdle of being able to accept additional central stations, and is now focused on recruiting the 6,500 PSAPs across the country.
DICE Corporation, Bay City, Mich., held its 2011 Users Group Conference (DUG ‘11) in Bay City, August 8 -10. There were several changes to the structure of the conference this year as well as new projects.
