On the opening day of ASIS International, SDM editors plan to stop by booth 777 to see the Contigo 8100 on display. This device is an inexpensive, indoor-locatable beacon for covert asset tracking, theft recovery and personal security.
The Contigo 8100 uses powerful GPS technology (gpsOne from Qualcomm) that allows the beacon to be located in environments where standalone GPS fails, such as indoors. The device also provides a battery life of up to 10 days on a single charge.

"Never before has there been such a powerful, small and inexpensive GPS tracking beacon," says Rob Goehring, vice president of product management and marketing for Contigo. The versatility of this product will open up new markets in asset tracking, covert investigations and personal security for both commercial businesses as well as family safety applications. This product is a welcome addition to Contigo’s industry leading suite of GPS beacons."
