It is with a heavy heart that I tell our readers about the recent death of Ron Nelson, director of operations for Mutual Central Alarm Services Inc., New York. Ron worked in the security industry for more than 38 years. He passed away on Sunday, January 31.

Ron was part of SDM's family, also. His was the pen that wrote SDM's monthly 5-Minute Tech Quiz. Ron's first quiz was published in SDM in September 1994.

 

We learned of Ron's passing from a colleague at Devcon Security Services Corp., Hollywood, Fla., of which Mutual is part of. Ron suffered a very long battle with lung cancer.
