Technicians will be trained in all aspects of fiber optics, including planning, installation, connectors, fusion splices and testing equipment. You will learn all you need to know to effectively utilize fiber optics for CCTV, networking, and access control applications.

Students will take the Certified Fiber Optic Technician standardized test from the Fiber Optic Association.

 

The class will be taught by SDM's contributing technology writer, Dave Engebretson. Cost is $795 per student, which includes certification testing and all materials.
