Bosch Adds Jobs, Improves Facility

Bosch Security Systems recently hired 40 people and completed a six-month expansion and upgrade of its 90,000 sq.ft. facility in Fairport, N.Y., a suburb of Rochester.

The Fairport facility is home to executive management, product development, engineering and administrative staff. In addition, Bosch performs technical research and operates a highly qualified customer care and technical support center from the Fairport location. Boschâ€™s footprint in the North American Security Industry is also expanding. Other strategic initiatives in the Bosch organization include: supplying products to the market; supporting the Bosch Certified Security Dealer (BCSD) program; establishment of the Building Integration System (BIS) Sales Engineering Team; and expanding to a minimum three-year warranty on all products.

Additionally, Bosch has completed the consolidation of its distribution center in Lancaster, Pa. The 200,000 sq.ft. facility handles nationwide distribution of all Bosch products and houses the CCTV engineering team.
