With $1.8 billion invested in its development, the Venetian Macao Resort Hotel needed a video system that would provide high-quality video, easy archiving and the ability to expand quickly. The resort selected Dallmeier, Fort Lauderdale, Fla., to supply a multi-million-dollar system.

Currently under construction, the Venetian Macao is the anchor property of the Cotai Strip of Macao, known as Asia’s Las Vegas. The 10.5 million-square-foot resort located in Macau, is in Eastern Asia bordering the South China Sea and China.

Phase one of the Cotai Strip system consists of both fixed and PTZ cameras to monitor the casino, restaurants and the hotel. The system will monitor cameras installed in 2004 at the nearby Sands Macao Casino. Later phases of the project will see additional video systems from nearby hotels on the Cotai Strip tied in to the system.

Given the size and scope of the project, the Dallmeier casino team designed a fully digital matrix that provides high-resolution real-time video combined with data security and decentralized recording.
