New ETL listed alarm system certification program

Chicago-based safety solution provider Intertek launched a new ETL listed alarm system certification program for the life safety and security industry that provides alarm service companies, and central station owners and operators new options in equipment and components.

Established to assist the fire and security industries in their efforts to implement and maintain the highest levels of alarm system reliability, the ETL Alarm System Certification program assures Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), such as fire inspectors and insurance underwriters, that the alarm system has been properly installed, is being maintained, and is subjected to annual third-party surveillance by an NRTL. It also ensures full compliance with all federal, national and local standards and codes.
