CSAA Calls for Entries to Central Station Excellence Awards

March 11, 2010

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and SDM Magazine invite all central stations certified by any of the CSAA-approved Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories (NRTLs), such as UL or FM, CSAA members and non-members, to participate in the Central Station Excellence Award program, now in its fifth year.

The purpose of the awards is to:
• Establish and promote the inherent value of central station services.
• Honor those who have made the most significant contributions to the service.
• Promote the distinct level of professionalism attained by central stations certified by any of the CSAA-approved NRTLs.

Several changes have been implemented for the 2010 award program, including a simplified and streamlined application process. The five-year company restriction to enter the Central Station of the Year Excellence Award has been reduced to three years. And a new award, the Central Station Support Person of the Year Excellence Award, has been added to recognize a staff member other than the central station manager or operator that goes above and beyond to make the central station a better place.

All applications must be received by March 29, 2010. Winners will be recognized at the CSAA Central Station Excellence Awards Breakfast and ceremony on Wednesday, June 16, at 7:45 a.m., during ESX 2010 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh.
