The security industry gathered once again for the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) 2023. The event — sponsored by the Electronic Security Association (ESA) — was held June 5-8 in Louisville, Ky., at the Kentucky International Convention Center and offered a variety of awards presentations, educational sessions and networking events in addition to the expo’s floor, which featured roughly 100 exhibitors.
After opening the event with annual meetings and executive leadership workshops, ESX began its second day with the OpenXchange Breakfast, moderated by George De Marco, ESX chairman. The exchange spanned new technologies, services, go-to market strategies and the changing competitive landscape. De Marco was joined by panelists: Elizabeth Parks, Parks Associates; Bart Proctor, Pye-Barker; and Tyler Tribe, Becklar. The panel addressed potential business impacts from emerging technologies, like the currently omnipresent ChatGPT.
