The Security Industry Association (SIA) Executive Committee has named Bill Bozeman as an honorary SIA member. Bozeman — a security industry veteran and longtime SIA member and SIA Board of Directors member — is one of only six individuals to have received this honor, joining fellow honorary members Les Gold, Joe Grillo, Sandy Jones, Dave McGowan and Scott Schafer. SIA will recognize Bozeman during ISC West.
Bozeman is the founder of Bozeman Strategic Solutions, which provides strategic planning and positioning for integrators and manufacturers in the electronic security industry. Prior to founding Bozeman Strategic Solutions, he served as president and CEO of PSA Network, the world’s largest system integrator consortium, owned by the most progressive security and audio-visual integrators throughout North America. Bozeman’s 40 years of experience in the security systems integration business paved a successful track record in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments. He has held previous roles as president of Delta Audio-Visual Security, president of Dictograph Alarm Systems and vice president of strategic alliances for Pinkerton Systems Integration and has directed sophisticated electronic security projects for corporate America, the U.S. government and private institutions. Bozeman attended Louisiana State University, graduated from the University of New Orleans and is qualified as a Certified Protection Professional with the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). He has received a variety of industry awards and honors, including being named to the Security Integration Hall of Fame, being recognized as one of the 25 Most Influential Security Executives, receiving the PSA Network’s Paul Marcus Award for offering consistent leadership and direction to PSA and being presented with SIA’s George R. Lippert Memorial Award for outstanding contributions to SIA and the security industry. He is a board of directors member for Unlimited Technology, Netwatch, Security Specifiers and nFact.
