GE Interlogix Access and Integration Group announces that users of the new Secure Perfect 5.0 can now leverage Microsoft’s latest cluster technology to provide fault-tolerant databases. Clustering dramatically reduces chances that security management system databases could become unavailable. With redundant databases, administrators are assured that data needed by the security management system – whether a verification code for an individual, an alarm point or other safety and access control information – is available for their users regardless of overriding IT system problems. In addition, multiple communication servers can be configured to automatically provide redundant paths of communication to assure that Secure Perfect 5.0 alarm and activity monitoring will continue uninterrupted, even when network outages occur.
