The Installation Quality (IQ) board of directors approved a brand new audit process that will ensure basic compliance of member companies with the IQ program.

IQ companies asked the board to create items that would give the program “more teeth.” The board felt this was a necessary first step in ensuring that all member companies are following through with the guidelines and procedures of the program.

The audit process will encompass either a complete or partial review of IQ company paperwork and procedural compliance. Member companies will be selected at random to participate in the audit process. Sanctions can be imposed up to and including removal of IQ certification if a company fails to comply with the request of the IQ board during the audit process.
