Viking Electronics Inc.’s AES-2000 Accessible Entry System provides voice messages and help instructions to assist people with various disabilities. The system incorporates the EZ Access System to provide interactive visual, tactile and audible instructions to the user. As the user scrolls visually through the tenant directory, the AES-2000 also speaks the tenant’s name out loud. The user also may enter the tenant’s access code or phone number and the unit will dial automatically. Door strikes can be activated with the proper command, and tenants may enter a code to let themselves into the building. While the system uses hands-free communication, visitors or tenants also can use standard TTY/TDD text telephones. The built-in directory can be expanded to 525 names and phone numbers.
