National Training Center (NTC) announced the dates for its 2011 National Training Conference. The two day annual conference is scheduled for February 7 and 8, 2011, at the new Aliante Station Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. The focus of the training event will be Fire Alarm. Vice president of NTC, Bryan McLane, explained, “While our previous annual conferences have been successful and have included training in all aspects of security and low-voltage systems, we thought that this coming year we would focus the training on Fire Alarm.  The fire alarm industry has experienced a number of changes regarding installation, design and obtaining certification this year and we thought that it would be appropriate to have the annual training conference focus on and address these changes.”

The courses include NICET Fire Alarm and Fire Alarm System Design. While the NICET Fire Alarm course addresses the new Computer Based Testing (CBT) that NICET has implemented, it will also cover instruction on specific exam subjects, as well as how to use and understand code requirements. The Fire Alarm System Design course covers design requirements for fire alarm systems, instruction on how to use and understand code requirements, as well as practice with particular alarm system design applications.

In addition to the opportunity to get training in Fire Alarm, the conference offers an occasion to network with colleagues and experience the latest offerings from distributors throughout the country, such as SDi, GE-FireworX, UTCF, Alarmax, Gentex, Building Reports, and SpaceAge. Representatives from these companies will be available at the conference to answer questions and offer demonstrations of their products.

Early registration is recommended as space is limited.  Register at www.NationalTrainingCenter.net or call 702-648-8899.  Special room rates are available for conference attendees.
