Splineless Engineering for Cat 6 Cabling Exceeds Industry Requirements & Permits More Cables per Conduit
September 23, 2010
Honeywell is expanding its Category 6 cable product line to include cabling engineered without a center spline that reduces overall diameter and permits more cables per conduit. The Genesis Category 6 “splineless” cable meets TIA/EIA-568-B.2-1 requirements and is tested to 350 MHz. The new cable rounds out Honeywell’s Genesis cable portfolio, which also includes the Genesis Catlink 6 Plus. The Catlink 6 Plus is tested to 500 MHz and includes center spline for improved cross-talk performance. “The addition of this new Cat 6 cable gives integrators a wider choice for selecting tools to complete their cabling jobs,” said Honeywell’s Leann Meachum. “Whether you need a deluxe version, or just simply a cost-effective Cat 6, Honeywell can provide many solutions to fit unique needs.”
