ADI, Melville, N.Y., is partnering with the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA), Indianapolis, to deliver Home Theater Audio Boot Camps at ADI branches nationwide. These courses will help electronic system technicians improve their understanding and their skills related to the installation of high-end custom home theaters. These courses also will help individuals prepare for the CEDIA certification.

The Home Theater Audio Boot Camp, developed and instructed by Joel Rosenblatt of A/V Marketing Consultants, is designed to provide electronic system technicians with specific audio information needed to successfully design a home theater atmosphere.

The half-day workshops run every month, from May through December, and present fundamentals including room acoustics, speaker types, performance parameters and placement issues, amplifier and speaker matching, subwoofers and standing waves, EQ fundamentals, SPL measurements, as well as current surround format explanations.

Boot camps are scheduled for: Aug. 20, Raleigh, N.C.; Sept. 27, Pennsauken, N.J.; Oct. 8, Doraville, Ga.; Nov. 19, Dallas; Dec 10, Allston, Mass. For more information or to sign up for CEDIA classes, contact your local ADI branch or visitwww.adilink.com.
