The CE Express is a team of consumer electronics industry bicyclists who ride to raise funds for cancer research. Now in its third year, the tour is looking for new riders, sponsors and volunteers for a ride before the expo and convention of the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) in Denver. Anyone can help -- not just CE industry folk.

Last year, Ken Smith, president of CEDIA and Custom Electronics Inc., Falmouth, Maine, rode from Augusta, Maine, to Denver along with other cyclists from across the nation to raise funds for cancer research.

This year, Smith is heading up the industry initiative and finalizing details for one-day regional rides that will take place in cities across the United States thanks to the support of amazing CE cyclists, riders and volunteers.

The CE Express’s goal is to raise $80,000 – double the funds raised in 2006. Donations will be given to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, with a portion given to a local cancer charity in each region in which the ride takes place.

Interested sponsors, riders and team captains within and outside of the CE industry are still needed, along with those interested in chairing a regional team or volunteering. To find out more, e-mailcasey@marketingmatters.netor call Marketing Matters at (954) 925-1511.

Donations to the CE Express can be made at any time atwww.weallknowsomeone.org. Join the Tour for the Cure!
