AMAG Technology released its Symmetry v7.0.1 security management system. All Symmetry software suites, including Business, Professional, Enterprise, Global and Homeland Security Editions, and all optional modules are available in v7.0.1. Symmetry v7.0.1 supports the fully integrated access control and intrusion detection system (IDS) capability in the commercial version; formerly this functionality was only available in the Homeland Security Edition. The new version also supports the Javelin card reader family, which operates either as standard readers or as fully functional, intelligent alarm keypads to provide the IDS capability when used with v7 or higher. Symmetry Video Management now comes built-in, redefining the way licensing is achieved.
