For the ninth consecutive year, Norcross, Ga.-based Ackerman Security sponsored the Gwinnet County (Ga.) Chamber of Commerce’s Medal of Valor and Public Safety Awards presentation, held in late March.

Among the awards presented at this year’s event were the Lifesaving Award, Medal of Merit, Communications Person of the Year, Public Safety Unit of the Year, Medal of Valor and the Purple Heart. More than 300 public safety officials, friends and families attended the presentation.

Ackerman sponsors the event as a way to give back to those in the public safety community for their service to the county.
