This week, A10 Networks, a provider of network security and load-balancing technology, announced eight new Thunder series appliances, including the industry’s fastest single rack unit ADC. The growth of data center traffic, the Internet of Things (IoT) and increased security requirements for mobile, cloud and Web is creating a continuous demand for higher performance and scalable data center infrastructure solutions. The new appliances will allow customers to scale and secure their most demanding data center applications and networks. 

Features of the revamped models include:

• performance scalability to 220 Gbps of traffic; 
• security defense against over 300 million DDoS attacks per second; and
• integrated ACOS application networking software architecture improving data center efficiencies by consuming less power, cooling and rack space.
