Essex Electronics announced its new iRox-T Turnstile Reader, a multi-frequency, multi-technology, low profile reader designed to solve concealment challenges and enable streamlined upgrades to higher-security turnstile applications. The iROX-T provides embedded HID iCLASS SE technology that supports a wide range of credentials.

The new Essex Electronics dual-frequency iROX-T turnstile reader supports low frequency proximity cards, HID’s 13.56MHz Seos credentials iCLASS SE,  iCLASS and other high frequency formats. The reader enables upgrades from existing low frequency (and low security) readers to help solve the issues facing many turnstile applications by maximizing the read range necessary for high security credentials, and maintaining the highest levels of turnstile throughput.

According to the company, the product is already tested and certified with eight global turnstile manufacturers.
