Vigitron Network Switch Provides Anti-Ghosting
The Vi32226 is an L2 managed network switch with 24 extended coax ports and two 1G uplink combo ports. It is designed for retail applications that are converting their existing analog security systems to IP. The ability to transmit video and PoE over coax for distances up to 3,000 ft. reduces installation time and costs. Camera and monitoring positions can remain unchanged as they are not limited to 328 ft. The Vi32226 maintains all the security-specific PoE features of the Vi32126 hybrid coax/UTP switch. Built-in intelligence can determine the differences between shorts and the need for additional power on start-up given that the base PoE is 36 watts. Several security features reduce the potential for network attacks including Vigitron’s exclusive SecurPort providing complete anti-ghosting protection.
