The Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA) will host an integrator event in Chicago featuring its physical logical access interoperability (PLAI) technology on August 21, 2019. PLAI is the PSIA’s new specification to support identity management. The leading integrators in the country are invited to see a demonstration of PLAI with six PACS and biometric vendors participating. They will learn about PLAI technology, understand its applications and be able to discuss opportunities for the specification in their businesses.

“PLAI addresses a critical problem in the physical security industry — identity management across multiple disparate PACS systems,” said David Bunzel, executive director of PSIA. “We now have the critical components to solve this problem, with a commercial PLAI agent, and adapters from some of the leading PACS vendors in the market.”

The PSIA established a commercialization work group in 2018, which has been developing tools and resources that integrators and consultants need to effectively deploy PLAI to enterprise customers. These will be introduced and discussed at the meeting. In addition, PLAI compliant vendors have designed web pages which provide specific information on their PLAI implementations and how to integrate the technology into customer environments.

PSIA’s Road Show event will be hosted by AMAG at its Willowbrook, Ill. offices on August 21 at 4 p.m. If you are interested in attending, register here.
